What you will be doing

  • Motivating and mentoring students through direct, daily engagement—no lectures, just powerful peer-level coaching
  • Using adaptive learning tech and AI platforms to help each student learn at their own pace
  • Leading small-group workshops focused on life skills, leadership, and real-world success strategies
  • Helping students discover their strengths and expand their ambitions through personalized growth planning
  • Contributing to the ongoing innovation of Alpha’s learning model with data, insights, and bold ideas

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering scripted lectures, grading worksheets, or managing behavior in a traditional classroom
  • Acting as a tutor, babysitter, or homework helper—this isn’t remedial support
  • Operating inside a rigid system with little room for initiative or creative input
  • Ignoring technology—our approach is built on using the best tools to fuel growth, not replace it

Key responsibilities

Empower students to adopt a limitless mindset and achieve extraordinary growth by leveraging technology, mentorship, and your own example of excellence.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • Demonstrated record of high performance (e.g. top academic honors, D1/Olympic athletics, national competitions, etc.)
  • Experience working directly with K–8 students in a mentoring, coaching, or instructional capacity
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Willingness to work in-person at our Santa Barbara, CA, New York City, NY, or Miami, FL campus
