Assessment Developer $100,000USD/year ($50 USD/hour)

Description

Are you ready to redefine educational assessment through the power of AI? As an Assessment Developer at 2 Hour Learning, you'll be at the forefront of creating next-generation learning experiences that adapt to each student's unique journey. If you're a psychometrics expert who's excited about harnessing AI to revolutionize educational measurement, this role is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

At 2 Hour Learning, we're not just building assessments – we're crafting intelligent learning pathways that evolve with each student's progress. Your expertise in educational measurement will be crucial in developing AI-powered assessment systems that provide meaningful insights and drive personalized learning experiences.

Join our innovative team where your deep understanding of learning science will help shape the future of education. You'll work with cutting-edge AI tools while collaborating with passionate experts who share your vision for transformative learning.

What you will be doing

  • Architect and implement AI-powered assessment frameworks that adapt to individual learning patterns
  • Design sophisticated rubrics that leverage AI to evaluate both quantitative and qualitative aspects of learning
  • Analyze complex learning data to identify patterns and optimize our curriculum for maximum impact
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance our assessment systems and learning materials
  • Transform educational standards into AI-compatible frameworks that ensure consistent, high-quality content delivery

What you will NOT be doing

  • Manually writing individual test items - you'll be orchestrating AI systems to generate and validate content at scale
  • Getting bogged down in technical implementation - our engineering team handles the coding while you focus on assessment strategy
  • Working in isolation - this is a highly collaborative role that requires constant interaction with various teams
  • Creating static, one-size-fits-all assessments - everything we do is dynamic and personalized

Key responsibilities

Drive the development and implementation of AI-powered assessment systems that deliver personalized learning experiences, while ensuring all content meets rigorous educational standards and contributes to measurable improvements in student outcomes.

Candidate requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas: psychometrics, educational measurement, assessment design, standardized test creation, item writing, cognitive psychology in learning, educational data analysis, Item Response Theory, or computer adaptive testing.
  • Proven track record applying these principles in practical settings.
  • Doctoral degree (PhD) in a relevant subject area.
  • Strong understanding of learning science principles and mastery-based learning approaches.
  • Proficiency with AI tools in educational content development or demonstrated ability to quickly master new technologies.
  • A user-centric approach and the ability to critically evaluate content in terms of appropriateness, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and disciplines.
  • Passion for educational innovation and commitment to improving learning outcomes.
