We occasionally receive reports about services that are fraudulently claiming to be affiliated with Crossover (e.g. selling study materials). Please be aware that:
- Crossover applications and assessments are 100% FREE. We NEVER require payment from candidates for any Crossover-related service.
- Official Crossover emails ALWAYS come from the "@crossover.com" domain. Occasionally, late-stage candidates may receive a 1:1 email from someone on "@trilogy.com" or the hiring company's email domain, but NEVER from gmail or any other public domain.
- We will NEVER ask you to apply, study, or take a test anywhere other than the candidate portal on crossover.com.
- The ONLY third party services that have any affiliation with Crossover's assessments are: Veriff (for ID verification), Calendly & Google Meet (for scheduling & conducting interviews), and CodeSignal, CriteriaCorp, Ephor, Kayako, OpenAI, Pearson, Rosetta Stone, SurveyMonkey & TrueNorth (for various skill and aptitude assessments). Crossover covers all the charges for these services—there is ZERO cost to candidates.
- Crossover and affiliated partners NEVER sell candidate data, or use anything that a non-hired candidate submitted for a real work assessment.
- We DO post a lot of similar job ads in different cities, because LinkedIn, Indeed, Google Jobs etc all organise listings by location. The only way for any global remote company to reach eligible jobseekers all over the world is to post job ads in hundreds of cities.
- We DO advertise the same position under multiple variations of the job title, because 'normal' job titles vary from one region to another. Adapting titles helps applicants from different backgrounds to recognize the one they know. All advertised positions have a corresponding 'master' listing on crossover.com/jobs.
If you encounter a potential Crossover scam:
- Never pay for any service claiming to be affiliated with Crossover.
- If you already provided payment details, contact your bank immediately to cancel the transaction and replace your credit card.
- Report any suspicious activity or concerns on the candidate support portal.
- If you're already in direct contact with someone at Crossover about your application, you can also forward your concern to them.
