What you will be doing

  • Design and enhance test content to meet stringent educational standards by integrating psychometrics with generative AI tools.
  • Create assessment rubrics using AI that assess the depth, alignment, and educational impact of test content and learning materials.
  • Ensure learning content is engaging, accurate, and effective through quality control measures.
  • Analyze test results, student data, and learning analytics to pinpoint knowledge gaps and improve our curriculum.
  • Work with subject-matter experts to refine our educational offerings, including test content and instructional materials.
  • Leverage learning science and mastery-based learning principles to enhance our curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Engage in our "second brain" knowledge-sharing practices to both contribute to and learn from our collective expertise.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Manually creating test content or curriculum materials—AI tools are your go-to for content creation.
  • Writing code to automate systems—focus on learning measurement and content design while engineers handle technical tasks.
  • Working in isolation—this role demands active collaboration across teams and disciplines.

Key responsibilities

Utilize your psychometric expertise to develop and refine test content with AI, ensuring assessments are personalized, rigorous, and educationally aligned. Contribute to the improvement of our learning ecosystem through cross-functional collaboration and data-driven insights.

Candidate requirements

  • Expertise in one or more of the following: psychometrics, educational measurement, assessment design, standardized test creation, item writing, cognitive psychology in learning, educational data analysis, Item Response Theory, or computer adaptive testing.
  • Proven application of these principles in practical settings.
  • PhD in a relevant field.
  • Strong grasp of learning science principles and mastery-based learning approaches.
  • Proficiency with AI tools in educational content development or the ability to rapidly learn new technologies.
  • User-centric mindset with critical evaluation skills for content appropriateness, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Excellent collaborative skills for effective teamwork across various teams and disciplines.
  • Passion for educational innovation and commitment to enhancing learning outcomes.
