Description

This isn’t your standard FP&A role. Our analysts do things differently.

  • They never get bored or stop learning because they work with different companies every day (from our portfolio of 100+ software companies) instead of being stuck working with the same division for months.
  • They understand the business drivers of success across the entire gamut of software companies and generate insights that aren’t possible with a narrow focus. Business leaders depend on their broad industry expertise to unlock value.
  • They are a key part of a fully-remote and globally-distributed team that is made up of the top 1% of finance professionals in the world and that is redefining what a finance organization can achieve.

Join us and you will learn more in 3 months than you have over the last 3 years. You will work directly with senior executives from our portfolio of companies and learn what it takes to drive value creation and improve financial performance for software companies. This role will teach you how to run software companies and prepare you to be a CFO.

Trilogy is one of the largest privately-held software groups in the world and we are adding new companies to our portfolio weekly. Finance is the key driver of our business, not a back-office support function, and our centralized model demands the world’s best operational Finance platform.

Our group has been operating in a 100% remote/virtual setup for over 10 years. As other organizations fumble to implement remote work because of COVID, you can join the leader in running a global, remote finance operation.  As experts, we will teach you the new skills you need to succeed in the finance organization that will become the standard in the next decade.

What you will be doing

You will own the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial and performance analyses for our entities. You will work with senior leaders, understand the business and strategy of the companies in our group, and help them achieve their goals with the insights from your analysis of their performance and our group in general. You will tie operational improvement suggestions to financial targets, understand commercial and operational trends impacting financial performance, and help drive business outcomes.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and performance analysis for business leadership
  • Develop insights that tie financial goals to operational initiatives
  • Understand plan-to-actual variances and make operational improvement suggestions for business units
  • Implement planning & analysis that helps business units develop and execute strategy
  • Support cyclical business processes including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and managing accruals and allocations
  • Prepare accurate Financial Statements and month-end close reports.
  • Reconcile data and reports, resolve discrepancies and collaborate across various Finance and non-Finance functions effectively

Candidate requirements

  • Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math/Science degree.
  • Qualified as a CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA or MBA
  • Experience working in a Finance or Accounting role for a USD $100M+ organization

About Crossover

What you will learn

You will learn what it takes to handle aggressive growth where we measure success on a daily and weekly basis.
You will learn the importance of deep dives to develop meaningful insights for business leaders that create value and drive business outcomes.
You will learn how a global remote organization can handle all the financial aspects of a group consisting of a vast number of entities with a small group of highly skilled finance professionals, by simplifying processes and automating repetitive non-value adding tasks. You will learn how to set up financial structures and transactions so the finance group is able to absorb 1-2 new entities into the group every week.
Ultimately though you will learn to move fast, take risks and learn from failures.
