Dean of Parents $400,000USD/year ($200 USD/hour)

Description

Most schools ask parents to trust tradition. We need someone who can inspire them to bet on revolution.

Are you energized by partnering with influential parents to champion transformative education? 2 Hour Learning is revolutionizing K-12 education by replacing 6 hours of traditional classroom time with 2 hours of AI-powered learning. We need an exceptional leader to build and mobilize parent communities that will help drive this transformation.

This isn't about planning bake sales or managing a PTA. We need a strategic relationship builder who can help forward-thinking parents understand, embrace, and advocate for an entirely new approach to education.

Our 2 Hour Learning model reimagines everything about traditional education. You'll build parent communities across multiple campuses who deeply understand our vision and actively champion it, while ensuring we maintain the educational excellence that makes our model revolutionary.

If you thrive on building influential communities and navigating complex relationships in service of transformative change, you'll help us reshape the future of education.

What you will be doing

  • Designing and executing strategic parent engagement initiatives that educate parents about our model's impact and transform them into vocal advocates
  • Navigating high-stakes situations with sophisticated parents while maintaining firm educational standards
  • Building and activating networks of parent champions who independently defend and promote our revolutionary approach
  • Creating feedback systems that capture parent sentiment early while preserving our educational integrity
  • Transforming individual parent concerns into opportunities to demonstrate our model's value

What you will NOT be doing

  • Running traditional parent-teacher associations or school improvement committees
  • Planning social events without strategic advocacy goals
  • Making exceptions to our educational model to please influential parents
  • Managing basic school-home communications
  • Coordinating parent volunteers or classroom activities

Key responsibilities

Build and mobilize a proactive parent community that understands and champions our 2 Hour Learning model and actively drives its growth and advocacy, serving as a key differentiator for our revolutionary approach to education.

Candidate requirements

  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX
  • 7+ years converting influential stakeholders or skeptics into advocates (e.g., Head of School driving major changes, Chief Development Officer with major donors, VP of Enterprise Client Success, or Change Management Consultant)
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling advocacy communities from scratch
  • Proven ability to uphold policies with powerful stakeholders while strengthening relationships and maintaining organizational standards
  • Track record of crafting and delivering high-stakes communications that convert critics into champions
  • Deep conviction that transforming education requires standing firm on innovative methods

What you will learn

While we need your proven expertise in building influential communities and navigating complex stakeholder relationships, you'll be applying these skills at the bleeding edge of educational transformation. You'll help pioneer how AI revolutionizes K-12 education, shape how parents and educators reimagine learning, and be at the forefront of the most significant change in education delivery since the invention of the classroom. If you're excited by working at the intersection of transformative technology and educational excellence, you'll get to write the playbook for how forward-thinking schools build parent advocacy in the AI age.

Work examples

The potential impact of this role is best illustrated through what success will look like:

Imagine a parent town hall where current parents are passionately explaining our 2 Hour Learning model to prospective families - not because we asked them to, but because they've experienced the transformation in their own children. One parent shares how her daughter mastered a year of math in just 4 months. Another describes how their son now has time to pursue competitive swimming while excelling academically.

Picture a sophisticated feedback system that helps us identify parent concerns before they become issues. When a group of parents expresses skepticism about AI-powered learning, you don't just defend the model - you organize a data-driven demonstration that shows how it pinpoints and fills learning gaps that traditional methods miss.

Success means building communities where parents become our most powerful advocates because they've seen what's possible when we revolutionize education. They're not just accepting our approach - they're championing it to their networks, helping drive growth across our campuses, and partnering with us to push education forward.
