What do Elon Musk and 15-hour workweeks have in common? Wishful thinking! Andrew digs into Musk’s wild prediction of universal high income and what AI really means for the future of remote work.

Hey, Welcome Back!

What will the future of work look like – in the SUPER long term?

Elon Musk once believed in universal basic income. But now, he’s upgraded to something crazier: universal HIGH income.

In Musk’s vision of the future, everyone is rolling in cash thanks to the magic of AI.

Sounds far-fetched? Well, that’s because it is.

Don’t forget, we’re all still waiting on those self-driving cars he promised us, and most of us haven’t forgiven him for Dogecoin yet.

Still - it does venture into intriguing economic territory. And it really got me thinking.

Can AI lead us into an era where quality of life is better for everyone, or is this just another billionaire hallucination?

It’s time to explore Musk’s latest plot twist, and whether this wild prediction is even remotely possible. And if it’s not – what can we do to make sure WE benefit from the next century of robots, AI, and turbocharged human productivity?

We know remote work has stepped in and done INCREDIBLE things for the global economy.

⚡ We’ve seen a massive economic boom

⚡ More people have jobs, more family time and better health

⚡ Even the climate is getting a breather thanks to remote work!

No wonder we’re all so much more productive now. Broadly speaking, remote work has kickstarted an economy that was moving like a snail on a salt trail pre-pandemic.

🔥 Queue: AI 🔥

Now, there’s another boom on the horizon... but the question is: who’s cashing in this time?

Historically, it’s not the workers who reap the real rewards - it’s the Elon Musk characters who end up richer. Perhaps this IS destined to change.

It’s a new era of efficiency.

We just need to figure out how to not repeat the mistakes of the last century.

And what this will look like is anyone’s guess!

📌 Is it possible for AI to upgrade our future quality of life?

📌 Who will fit the bill for something like universal HIGH income?

📌 How do we prevent income inequality from seeping into the next 100 years?

It’s episode 72, and I’m taking you on a blast through our past, present, and future to figure out what’s really standing in the way of the ultimate remote dream: AI efficiency that actually benefits society.

In just a few minutes you’ll hear from the best minds on the planet - a heroic politician, a top Stanford professor, and the Nobel Laureate whose theories inspired my favorite cartoon The Jetsons.

Together, we’ll uncover what’s possible (and what's just sci-fi) when it comes to the distant future of work.

The bottom line is: When you’re as rich as Elon, you can afford to make flashy predications that may or may not pan out.

But he’s right about one thing. We should all be talking about it.

So that you and I can make moves in the right directions.

If Elon Musk is right, we’re in for a lot of change.
