Isuru sidestepped an economic crisis because of remote work. Andrew’s in Sri Lanka to surprise one of Crossover’s standout stars with an island getaway, and a chat about finding financial stability.
Hey, Welcome Back!
Can remote work save you from an economic crisis?
When you live and work in a country where the currency rises and falls like Wi-Fi in a tropical storm, creating financial stability for your family is an uphill battle.
The value of currency plummets, driving up the cost of everyday goods and services. Affording the basics becomes impossible and all of your hustle never seems enough.
💵 Local earnings are tied to local instability.
There are better ways to earn and free yourself from the economic rollercoaster common in developing nations. Working remotely makes it possible to earn the highest value currencies in the world.
Just ask Lead Software Engineer, Isuru Samarasinghe from Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Isuru uses a remote contract position that pays US dollars to create financial stability for his family. Earning 3-4X the average local pay means no matter what economic blow is in store, he always comes out on top.
It was hard landing his remote job - but worth it!
Many local developers see the challenge of passing a purposefully difficult CCAT, as a barrier to earning international pay with Crossover.
They see more struggle and effort going to waste. But it can be a life-changing decision.
❎ Locally you’re held under the thumb of fluctuating economic woes
❎ Forced to work more and more, while earning less and less
❎ Diminishing jobs, cutbacks and opportunities as local business adjusts
I met up with Isuru Samarasinghe, a local Sri Lankan who recognized that remote work was his way out of the cycle of struggle.
He saw international remote work as an opportunity.
Instead of being fatigued by struggle, he harnessed it to be the best.
Isuru actively looked online for remote opportunities. After finding Crossover on LinkedIn, he knew he’d discovered something that would change his life.
⭐ A shot at earning USD for a lasting boost in purchasing power
