Description

IMPORTANT: This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Austin, Texas campus. We offer relocation assistance!

Are you prepared to guide the next generation of achievers both on the field and in life?

Welcome to Sports Academy in Austin, TX, where we believe that essential life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and perseverance are best cultivated through sports. As a trailblazing private K-8 institution powered by 2hr Learning, we combine AI-enhanced academics with intensive sports training to deliver a comprehensive educational experience. We're searching for inspiring and dynamic leaders to join us in shaping the future of young athletes.

We champion innovation through cutting-edge adaptive apps and motivational strategies rooted in learning science because excellence transcends being just a goal—it's a lifestyle.

Instead of typical educators, we're building a team of Guides—leaders who bring learning to life. These mentors ensure students don't just succeed; they thrive, doubling their learning and discovering their unique talents and life skills.

This is where you come in. You've surpassed what others deemed impossible—whether by breaking sports records or revitalizing ventures. Your secret? Combining bold goals with relentless hard work, innovation, and unlocking your team's intrinsic motivations.

Now, envision channeling that spirit into transforming education and inspiring the next generation. Imagine mentoring our Guides, imbuing them with your insight, drive, and leadership.

We're seeking an expert mentor to coach and develop our team of Guides. In this role, you’ll shape how Sports Academy Guides engage with students. Consider applying if:

  • You're a natural leader who can balance empathy with logic, objectivity, and firmness.
  • You know how to challenge a team to achieve the next level with ambitious goals.
  • You'd be the best Guide if hired, but you'd prefer to coach Guides and hold them to high standards.
  • You're the resident "kid expert" who can connect, motivate, and cultivate success with any student.

Why choose Sports Academy?

  • Competitive pay - we believe in rewarding excellence without financial compromise.
  • Generous benefits and time off - we value our team with comprehensive benefits and paid leave.
  • Growth and learning culture - receive coaching, training, and leadership opportunities.
  • Relocation assistance for highly qualified candidates.

Ready to make a real impact and lead the transformation of education through sports? Apply now to join us at Sports Academy and inspire future champions. Let's redefine possibilities together!

What you will be doing

  • Coaching a team of Guides: By providing regular, personalized feedback, you'll enhance their performance, thereby boosting student enjoyment and achievement.
  • Creating Guide Playbooks: Develop manuals that outline best practices, instructional strategies, and solutions for various challenges.
  • Motivating Students: Lead a small group of students, using your expertise to transform hesitant learners into enthusiastic achievers.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Writing lesson plans: Think bigger. While Guides manage day-to-day learning with adaptive apps, you'll train them to be better facilitators, create enrichment activities, and inject enthusiasm and impact into sessions.
  • Lowering standards: Maintain high standards. If 100% is required to pass, uphold it. Facilitate opportunities for advanced learners, such as a 6th grader taking a college course.
  • Running boring training programs: Avoid lecture-style professional development. Coach Guides by demonstrating enthusiasm, energy, and expert facilitation skills.

Key responsibilities

Train and develop a team of Guides to execute the Sports Academy system with world-class excellence.

Candidate requirements

  • A college degree in any field
  • Proven track record of developing and mentoring teams to achieve elite performance

  • History of engaging with children and teens (ages 5-18), fostering growth and achievement
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship
  • Commitment to working in-person in Austin, TX
