Instructional Designer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

Are you ready to revolutionize science education? At 2 Hour Learning, we're not just dreaming about the future—we're building it. We're seeking a visionary Instructional Designer to harness the power of AI and transform how millions of students learn science.

Imagine crafting virtual experiments that bring quantum physics to life or designing adaptive learning pathways that make complex ecosystems accessible to all. Your mission: to double the speed at which students master scientific concepts, from cellular biology to astrophysics.

What you will be doing

  • Leverage AI to decode student learning patterns, creating groundbreaking strategies that redefine science education.
  • Engineer AI-powered simulations that transform abstract scientific theories into tangible, engaging experiences.
  • Design adaptive learning pathways that evolve in real-time, making complex science accessible to all proficiency levels.
  • Collaborate with top educators, scientists, and AI experts to push the boundaries of science education.
  • Translate dense scientific literature into AI-enhanced, digestible content that ignites students' passion for scientific inquiry.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Managing outdated curriculums or drowning in administrative tasks. Your focus is on innovation and strategic improvement in science education.
  • Working in isolation. You'll be at the heart of a dynamic team, driving the future of AI in science education.
  • Theorizing without action. Every AI model you develop will directly impact real-world science learning.

Key responsibilities

Drive measurable improvements in student science learning outcomes through AI-driven analysis and implementation. Your goal: achieve a 2x acceleration in concept mastery across various scientific domains and grade levels.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific field (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of experience teaching science or developing science curriculum, with proven impact on learning outcomes
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language
  • Hands-on experience with AI systems for content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and extract actionable insights
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept at explaining intricate scientific concepts to diverse audiences in a professional context
