Curriculum Developer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

Ready to transform how students connect with our world's rich tapestry of stories and spaces? At 2 Hour Learning, we're pioneering an educational revolution where history breathes and geography comes alive through the power of artificial intelligence.

We're seeking a visionary Curriculum Developer who can turn the pages of history and the contours of our planet into immersive learning adventures. If you're passionate about making the Silk Road as exciting as a video game or helping students visualize climate patterns with the clarity of tomorrow's weather forecast, join us in redefining social studies education for the digital age.

What you will be doing

  • Creating AI-powered learning experiences that transform abstract historical concepts into tangible, interactive journeys through time and space
  • Mining educational data for insights that shape personalized learning pathways, ensuring each student discovers history and geography at their optimal pace
  • Crafting next-generation digital content that brings historical figures and global landscapes to life—imagine virtual conversations with historical figures or AI-guided tours of ancient civilizations
  • Synergizing with our diverse team of educational innovators to pioneer approaches that make social studies more relevant and engaging than ever before
  • Distilling complex historical narratives and geographical relationships into captivating, accessible content enhanced by AI-driven personalization

What you will NOT be doing

  • Churning out conventional lesson plans or getting entangled in paperwork—your focus will be on groundbreaking innovation
  • Working in isolation—you'll be an integral part of a collaborative ecosystem of forward-thinking educators and technologists
  • Following outdated educational playbooks—we're writing new rules for how students experience and connect with our shared human story

Key responsibilities

Your mission is clear: dramatically accelerate students' mastery of social studies concepts through AI-enhanced learning experiences. Success means doubling the rate at which students internalize and apply critical historical and geographical knowledge, creating a new benchmark for educational efficiency and engagement.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Geography, or related social studies discipline
  • Proven track record of 3+ years developing or teaching social studies curricula with demonstrable impact on student achievement
  • Sharp analytical mindset with the capability to transform learning data into meaningful instructional strategies
  • Hands-on experience with educational AI applications, whether in content development, adaptive learning systems, or data-driven instruction
  • Exceptional storytelling abilities to transform historical events and geographical concepts into compelling digital narratives
