Description

The telecommunications industry faces constant challenges in maintaining operational stability and performance. Service outages and inefficiencies can lead to significant revenue losses, with some estimates suggesting downtime can cost enterprises up to $300,000 per hour. Additionally, the complexity of managing both hosted data centers and public cloud environments adds a layer of difficulty, often resulting in fragmented operations and suboptimal performance.

At Skyvera, we tackle these challenges head-on by seamlessly integrating hosted data centers and public cloud services, ensuring a cohesive and reliable IT infrastructure. Our unique approach emphasizes the hybrid management of these environments, allowing for greater flexibility, improved resource optimization, and enhanced security compliance. This integrated strategy not only sets us apart from the industry norm but also offers our team a dynamic and technically challenging work environment.

This position is not your typical SaaS ops role. While many positions focus solely on cloud or data center environments, our SaaS Ops team demands expertise in both. We need someone who thrives in managing hybrid infrastructures and excels in leading a team to ensure operational excellence. This job involves coordinating with top-tier vendors, adhering to strict SLA agreements, and handling escalated support issues, making it ideal for a candidate who enjoys balancing management responsibilities with technical oversight.

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability and performance of our SaaS services. You will lead a talented team, oversee daily operations, and manage vendor relationships to ensure seamless service delivery. If you are passionate about driving operational excellence in a hybrid environment and are ready to make a significant impact on our IT operations, we encourage you to apply and join us in shaping the future of Skyvera.

What you will be doing

  • Coordinating with customer support and engineering teams to resolve escalated issues
  • Managing relationships with various vendors to ensure service delivery
  • Leading the team’s daily operations, ensuring compliance with ITSM principles, and managing ticket assignments
  • Ensuring optimal public cloud operations within our AWS and Azure environments

What you will NOT be doing

  • Directly solving customer support tickets and executing software development tasks
  • Performing routine administrative tasks

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure the operational stability and performance of our SaaS services through the effective management of IT and support teams, vendor coordination, and adherence to SLAs

Candidate requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT operations or management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Hands-on experience with SIP and VoIP technologies
  • Proven experience managing hybrid environments, including both hosted data centers and public cloud services (e.g., AWS and Azure)
