Description

Alpha is a private K-12 school in the heart of Austin, TX, unlike any other: no teachers, no lectures, no traditional grades. All the old ways of operating a school have been rejected, and in their place are three fulfilled promises to families:

  1. Students will love school. Kids would rather be at school than on vacation.
  2. Students will learn two times faster by using adaptive apps.
  3. Students will learn life skills and how to succeed in the modern world.

With no teachers, how does learning happen? Students are led by educators, called Guides. Just as a guide shows you the path but can’t walk for you, Alpha’s Guides teach students how to set and achieve audacious goals, but don’t do the learning for them. We believe kids are limitless. Guides provide motivation, encouragement, and coaching for the kids.

Who makes a good Guide? The best Guides exude unparalleled enthusiasm every minute of the day! To be a successful Guide, you should know how to motivate kids to do great things. You must be an exceptional facilitator, capturing your audience’s attention and creating student-driven workshops.

We understand that careers aren’t linear and that the best Guides come from a variety of backgrounds. You don’t need a specific degree, but you must have a passion for learning, the ability to connect with kids, and a commitment to supporting them as they chart their own path.

This is an on-site position at one of our new campuses in Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, or Brownsville, TX. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA, short-term and long-term disability insurance, term life insurance, and 401K.
