AI-First CEO - Education   $400,000 USD/year

Description

Are you passionate about revolutionizing education through cutting-edge AI technology? Join our stealth-stage EdTech startup, where we're not just building another learning platform – we're on a mission to transform how parents, teachers, and students engage with education. As a visionary leader of our AI-enabled educational products, including test prep services, full K-8 curricula, and game-based learning apps, you'll be at the forefront of this educational transformation.

This is not your typical leadership role. We're seeking an experienced, senior-level evangelist and visionary who can drive substantial user adoption and shape the future of learning on a global scale. You'll leverage generative AI to boost productivity and customer engagement while also leading and developing our sales organization.

What sets this role apart is the laser focus on directly engaging individual consumers. Your mission will be to drive user adoption in a competitive market, directly impacting how students learn, how parents participate in their children's education, and how teachers support learning outcomes. Your proven experience in selling education products or services to individual consumers – such as parents, teachers, or students – is crucial to your success.

Imagine having the power to transform education for millions of students, parents, and educators. If you're ready to champion this cause, build a strong personal brand, and thrive in a dynamic environment – we want you on our team. Together, let's leverage the power of AI to revolutionize learning!

What you will be doing

  • Leading the growth of a diverse portfolio of consumer-focused educational products.
  • Owning the end-to-end customer journey, ensuring seamless and engaging experiences for parents, teachers, and students.
  • Designing and executing strategies to drive product adoption directly among individual consumers, leveraging digital channels, community engagement, and influencer partnerships.
  • Overseeing marketing and sales efforts tailored to consumer audiences, using data-driven insights and AI tools to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Representing the company as its public face to establish thought leadership, trust, and credibility with parents, educators, and influencers in the education space.
  • Driving the development of innovative, AI-powered solutions that meet the needs of modern learners while achieving measurable results.
  • Leading and scaling a high-performing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Selling directly to schools, districts, or education boards.
  • Relying on outdated or traditional sales methods that do not resonate with today’s consumer-driven market.
  • Developing products without direct feedback and engagement from end-users, including parents, teachers, and students.
  • Operating in rigid, bureaucratic environments or prioritizing institutional decision-making processes over consumer needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Achieving $10M+ annual revenue across a variety of consumer-facing education products.
  • Growing and engaging a social media following to establish yourself as a thought leader in the education space.
  • Using generative AI tools to develop and refine customer engagement, improve the user experience, and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Scaling direct-to-consumer education campaigns with measurable success in customer acquisition, retention, and brand loyalty.

Candidate requirements

  • Proven experience selling education products or services directly to consumers, such as parents, teachers, or students.
  • A track record of successfully scaling consumer education products to $10M+ in annual revenue.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, including leveraging AI tools and customer analytics to drive sales and engagement.
  • A deep understanding of consumer behavior in education markets, with experience building trust and loyalty among individual customers.
  • The ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Currently based in the US and willing to travel for public events.
  • Eligible to work for any US employer without visa sponsorship.
