If you can drive your dogs 2300 miles across Europe, a bee infestation isn’t a big deal. Andrew meets Kaan, a Turkish VP of Software Engineering with an amazing career story to tell from Andorra.

Hey, Welcome Back!

Is remote work the antidote to economic instability?

It’s a mindset many of the best remote workers in the world share.

The single-minded pursuit of happiness, stability and autonomy is what unites us.

🌎 A LOT is happening in the world right now.

With the rise of new technology, the shifts in political power, and ever-increasing market volatility – economies are vulnerable.

👾 Stability isn’t what it used to be.

Local jobs are like a wobbly shopping cart wheel, weaving from left to right through the aisles. You just never know which way they’re going to swerve.

So it’s amazing to see global remote workers overcome mountainous challenges on their paths to a better life.

When Turkey’s currency took a nosedive, Kaan Ozdokmeci left. His remote job gave him financial stability, but the suffering around him was a signal to leave.

The time came and he packed up his wife and dogs and drove halfway across Europe to the small Alpine country of Andorra.

🍯🐝 And not even the carpenter bee infestation that greeted them on arrival could keep him from settling in! 🐝

Today’s global economic climate raises a lot of questions.

Remote work has some of the answers.

It’s episode 39 and this week I’m in Andorra to meet a man who escaped volatility, loss and struggle because of his passion for working remotely.

When the time came for him to move on - his job wasn’t holding him back it was driving him forward.

Kaan creates stability for himself and his loved ones through remote work. It’s given him total freedom of movement - an invaluable gift that unlocks quality of life.

📽️ This Week on Episode 39:

Kaan showed me what it means to build a life as someone focused on the things that really matter: family, community and the readiness to do what it takes to thrive.

What an amazing reminder that when your job is something you can take with you, you never have to leave your heart behind!

Enjoy the episode –

Beekeeping well,

Andrew
