Based in Austin, TX, you'll lead the planning and execution of innovative events, both virtual and in-person, that support our educational mission. At 2 Hour Learning, we leverage cutting-edge technology to deliver a personalized and accelerated learning experience to K-12 students across various unique schools, including Alpha School, GT School, eSports Academy, and Sports Academy.

In 2024, we're launching 4 new micro-school campuses in Texas, Florida, and California. You will work alongside our Marketing & Admissions teams to design and execute events that drive community awareness and admissions. You will have access to the tools and resources to create first-class experiences.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This position requires the candidate to be based in the Austin, TX, metro area. While we advertise nationally and welcome all applicants, residency in or relocation to the Austin metro is required. Relocation assistance is available for highly qualified candidates. 

What you will be doing

  • Lead and manage logistics and themes for in-person and virtual events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors for seamless event execution.
  • Create exceptional attendee experiences.
  • Manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Engage with stakeholders and community members.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Handling mundane administrative tasks that don’t leverage your event planning expertise.
  • Working in isolation without collaboration or feedback from team members.
  • Dealing with outdated technology or lack of tools that hinder efficient event planning.

Drive 2 Hour Learning's success by planning and executing engaging, strategic events that promote our educational philosophy and attract new students and supporters.

Candidate requirements

  • Proven track record in planning and executing high-quality events.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with a knack for meticulous attention to detail.
  • Based in the Austin, TX metro area or willing to relocate.
  • Able to travel up to 40% to our other campuses throughout Texas, Florida, & California.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event timelines. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
