At gt.school, we are on a mission to revolutionize the way gifted and talented kids learn. Our students accelerate their learning via fully remote educational apps. We believe technology can deliver an educational experience that engages and teaches kids 3-5x faster than the standard teacher-classroom model. 

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the creation and distribution of content that supports our marketing objectives and engages our target audience. You will work closely with our team of subject matter experts to develop content that showcases their expertise and provides value to our students. In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your skills in content strategy, writing, and editing to help us achieve our business goals and grow our brand.

What you will be doing

  • Creating and editing a wide range of content, including blog posts, social media updates, email newsletters, and video scripts.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to develop thought leadership pieces, case studies, and other types of content that showcase their expertise and provide value to our audience.
  • Managing the content creation process from start to finish, including ideation, writing, editing, design, and distribution.
  • Analyzing content performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Operating with a high degree of autonomy to develop and execute content marketing initiatives with minimal supervision.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Managing a large team of content writers and editors.
  • Developing the overall marketing strategy for the company.
  • Creating boring, stale content

Key responsibilities

Create high-quality, engaging content that supports our marketing objectives and grows our brand.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years experience creating written content for online audiences as a writer, blogger, copywriter, content marketer, content writer, or similar
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to write a variety of content types (blogs, whitepapers, social media posts, webpages, etc.)
  • Understanding of the US education system and experience with the AP Exams
  • Degree from a Top 50 US college/university
