Principal Solutions Architect, Totogi (Remote) - $400,000/year USD

Job ID: 4618

Description

Do you love reading great business stories about how innovative, brave start-ups dared to stand up, go against the status quo, and upset the big incumbent in the end? Here we come to write another one of them!

We are Totogi, a product-driven telco software company, made up of some of the best minds from the telecom industry as well as the brightest engineering talent across the globe. We envision a future in which all telcos have moved their software to the public cloud. We believe we can completely redefine how telcos engage with subscribers to drive acquisition, reduce churn, grow ARPU and provide products and experiences that customers love. We are building for that future and expanding our incredible team of cloud experts to define how we will extend our platform into each new customer's 5G network.

We are not your typical startup. Totogi has the cash required to disrupt an industry that has been hesitant to adopt cloud. We have the engineering capital, knowledge capital, vision and leadership required to eliminate failure as an option. Unlike most startups who use speculative equity as a tool for attracting top talent, we're able to leverage our capital investments to offer high cash compensation and 100% remote work to retain the most qualified individuals on the planet.

We are not your typical enterprise software vendor. Unlike similar roles at companies that pigeon-hole you into a proprietary ecosystem, this role is focused on integrations using in-demand cutting edge public cloud technology. Totogi's solutions are built cloud-native to AWS and you'll be constantly expanding your expertise in the AWS stack, one that can be applied to solve just about any software problem you can imagine.

In this senior-level individual contributor role, you will become a technical thought leader and convince the long-established telcos to do things differently. You will also publish technical collateral like white papers and video deep-dives to inspire the small and large players to adopt Totogi and save time and money as their business scales up.

Intrigued? Think you've got what it takes? Hit the apply button to begin our thoughtful application process.

What you will be doing

  • Technical Sales Calls - Presenting Totogi's technical architecture and addressing the technical questions and concerns that a prospect has about adopting Totogi which are beyond the scope of a sales call.
  • Proof of Concept - Scoping, designing and executing demonstrations that show how integrations would occur to cloud charging from on-prem 4G and 5G systems.
  • Collateral Creation - Creating technical sales collateral like slides, whitepapers, blogs and podcasts that demonstrate expertise and establish the author and company as thought leaders and technical experts. Configuring tailored demos that showcase features and capabilities that will address SME questions with working examples.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Responding to RFPs & RFIs.
  • Wasting time on administrative paperwork.
  • Identifying or qualifying leads. You will spend your time working with serious customers.
  • Managing implementations. You will run proof of concepts that have clear exit criteria and transition the successful ones to professional services post-sale.

Candidate Requirements

  • Cloud experience - designing AWS, GCP or Azure solutions for high availability, disaster recovery and elasticity
  • 5 years of experience making the important technical decisions for enterprise software products
  • 2 years of customer facing experience at a leading consulting company or in a pre-sales function for an enterprise software company
  • 2 years of experience in writing production quality code
  • High energy, confidence-inspiring presentation skills
  • Top-tier English language oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to take a technical topic and write 1000+ words that are accurate and interesting
  • The ability to work remotely covering one of these regional time-zones: Americas, EMEA, APAC
  • The ability to travel internationally as-needed (roughly 25%)
  • The flexibility to join calls occasionally outside of your typical 9-5 workday

Nice to have

  • AWS Certified Solution Architect and/or other AWS certs
  • Experience working for Telcos
  • Fluency in one or more additional languages
